I can't believe I didn't notice this thread. In parentheses are my favourite tracks from them. These are in no particular order:

Yes, Virginia... - The Dresden Dolls (Lonesome Organist Rapes Page Turner, Two-Headed Boy)
Despierta Los Ni˝os - Mindless Self Indulgence (Brooklyn Hype, Wack!)
The Fragile - Nine Inch Nails (The Great Below, Pilgrimage)
from the choirgirl hotel - Tori Amos (Cruel, She's Your Cocaine)
Walking With Strangers - The Birthday Massacre (Falling Down, Title-Track)
Don't You Look Pretty - Il Attire (Covered In Rose, Driving At Midnight)
Med˙lla - Bj÷rk (Ancestors, Triumph Of A Heart)
Jagged Little Pill - Alanis Morissette (Forgiven, Your House)

So I only really have eight. But I really also dig the Massive Attack records, as well as Sneaker Pimps and such.

Yeah, I know, but I think it is their most solid release. It's strong enough to hold as an album, kind of like The Smashing Pumpkins' Pisces Iscariot.

There is a difference, clearly.

Louder Than Bombs wasn't written as an album, it's no more an album than a mix CD you put together.

Not saying that it's not eligible, just saying.

Ahhh! This is tough. I'll just name some albums I really love, in no particular order it'll change over time anyway probably

1. Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Stangely Sexy--Mindless Self Indulgence
2. Tight--Mindless Self Indulgence
3. Super Taranta!--Gogol Bordello
4. VIVIsevtVI--Skinny Puppy
5. Songs Not To Get Married To--Reggie and the Full Effect
6. Die Hards--The Casualties
7. Walking With Strangers--TBM
8. ...Is A Real Boy--Say Anything
9. Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables--Dead Kennedys
10. Strictly Rude--Big D and the Kids Table
11. The Apostasy--Behemoth
12. Everybody Hates You--Combichrist
I threw 11 and 12 in there =)
Idk just good albums I thought of off the top of my head

edit: I need to throw Gogol Bordello's Gypsy Punks Underdog World Strike

Not trying to start anything, just something I noted: I just realized that you didn't mention Juno as a compilation as well. I would consider a soundtrack a compilation more than a b-side/singles album like Louder Than Bombs.
But yes, an album is an album, no matter its source.

Just something I noticed once I got some caffeine flowing in my system.

A soundtrack of songs comprised of various artists is a compilation, a movie scored comprised of music entirely by say, one person, is an album.

Album is an album in the sense that they are all collections of things. Not an album in the sense that they were written as albums. Fight Club's soundtrack was written and performed by one source to be intended as an album, it's not a compilation of songs.

This is all moot because I don't actually have a problem with compilations being in here, just pointing out there's a difference.

This is just really what I like best right now. It's not in any order

1) Alienating Our Audience: Live - MSI
2)Tight - MSI
3) Black Sails in the Sunset - AFI
4)Era Vulgaris - Queens of The Stone Age
5) Nothing And Nowhere - TBM
6) The Slip - Nine Inch Nails
7) A Downward Spiral - Nine Inch Nails
8) Dying to Say This To You - The Sounds
9) Waking The Fallen - Avenged Sevenfold
10) Violator - Depeche Mode

And, yeah, it'll probably change over time.

WHOOOOOOOOO lists! I do love lists. They constantly change.

1. Daft Punk - Alive 2007
2. Nightwish - Once
3. Daft Punk - Discovery
4. Johnny Hollow - Johnny Hollow
5. Wicked Broadway Cast Recording
6. The Birthday Massacre - Walking With Strangers
7. Aqua - Aquarium
8. The Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks 1964-1971
9. Ayumi Hamasaki - MY STORY
10. Velvet Eden - Ningyou Shoukan

That's kinda not really in order, except for the top 3. Mostly just favourite albums I've had durring different musical phases in my life that have stuck once I've grown out of a style/genre.
