Default Can anyone recommend me bands similar to TBM?

Im a full on metal head and well.... TBM are an exception, they are in fact my favourite band even though they're so different to anything else i listen to.

I'd love some recommendations, if you can point me to some other bands i may also like with a similar feel/sound.

thanks!

^ hmm, i think they're not like tbm at all... to be honest i find both bands rather weird, but that's a matter of taste. they're definitely unlike tbm though...

I'd recommend bands such as the crŘxshadows, ayria, i:scintilla, mankind is obsolete, silvery... can't think of any others now, but there are quite a few

No band is similar to The Birthday Massacre.

Does that answer your question?

of course there are bands that are similar. if their music was so different from all other bands, they could never tour with any other band because their music wouldn't fit. people always like to think of tbm (and other bands) as so unique, but there's just no band that is THAT unique. remember it's called "similar" and not "the same", that would be a different matter

Actually, they ARE THAT UNIQUE. And (s)he said similar feel. In my opinion, no other band is in the same galaxy. I've looked everywhere for "similar" bands and I've come to the realization that its just wishful thinking. They just don't exist.

Similar sound? Ok, I'll give you that I guess.

^I pretty much agree with all of that. I can't think of any band that comes close to TBM.

I guess I'd recommend the bands they have toured with: Dommin [especially them], I Am Ghost, Raggedy Angry, theSTART...

And you could also just go here:

that's pretty much what I think, concerning their uniqueness. everyone wants their fave bands to be so damn unique, but it just doesn't happen. I've come across a lot of bands that sound similar and also a lot of bands who are similarly close to their fans, funny, open, etc. I think people have a wrong concept of "unique" and "similar", with unique having a positive conotation and similar having a bad one. there's just no basis for such thinking

I guess you should decide if you're looking for bands that sound like TBM or if you're looking for bands that go well with them. The latter is pretty easy to find...they've toured with these bands. The former, I agree, is impossible to find. I have found plenty of band that go very well with TBM's music but none that sound the same. I thought I did once but then realized it was a remix done by them.

"sound like" wouldn't be similar, but the same, or alike, or whatever you want to call it. "Similar" implies that their music goes well with TBM's (because they have a similar sound etc.)

can anyone out there that has really good taste in music that looks for catchiness in songs recommend any good music tracks. You dont have to recommend the whole band just really good indivisual selected songs. i make music videos and am really running out of good music selection. i've looked all over for tracks that sound TBMish but nothing even comes close. im into TBM, some dubchestral (if it sounds different than most dubchestral and i like it), and songs that just really exceed the average sound. i would perfer sounds close to the effects in songs TBM uses, but if you could recommend anything that sounds good. im mainly looking for instrumentals with drum beats. but anything you could suggest. im desperate! thanks~
