ok, so its now the 14the of october. no sign of my vinyl even after emailing metropolis. so i downloaded the record...(legit!)

i have only listened to up to Calling but so far i love it. it will take some getting use to but i love everything i've heard so far.

people! invest in a decent pair of headphones! the best advice i could ever give. i have a fairly decent pair and they bring out subtleties in the old TBM tracks that i have listened to for years

i dont hear any dubstep! thank god! they ae using a shit-load of synths and the synths are taking up a lot of the space usually occupied by the bass. sounds great to me though. and damn, CHibi made love to my ears in the middle of Play with fire!! she sounds sooo sexy...and ive never thought she sounded overly sexy. iv always loved the innocence in her vocals

^I think there is at least a hint of dubstep in "Long Way Home".

Read this:

I know it's not actually, but listen to the bass and the drums, especially in the chorus. That's where I hear it. Also, there is some veeeery subtle layering on Chibi's vocals in the two verses (a bit like that sort of half-growl-robotic sounding voice she uses in "Control"). I'm going through each song on "Hide and Seek" on the YouTube channel I started and I'll definitely talk about this when I get to "The Long Way Home". Does anyone else hear this?

^ If I do hear it, I won't call it "dubstep". Let's just leave it at that.

YES! I hear it and LOVE it. Thought maybe I was just hearing things but so happy it's not that.

I really enjoy it and always notice it when listening to The Long Way Home.

^You really have to listen to this album multiple times to pick up everything that's in it. Kind of like "Inception" (which I MUST see again!) It truly is brilliant what this band can do.

^ Yes! I just love that about TBM. Quite recently I have picked up on things from P&N even, haha!
Great movie, by the way.

Last night was the third night in a row that I've had dreams about Hide and Seek. I think my subconscious wants me to just download it, 'cause my CD evidently is going nowhere fast.

I can't remember which one but the song feels like it goes into one of Skrillex songs...Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites...so it gets it dubstep from there

I know. I am not really someone who dances. But the first time I played the album, I had it cranked, and when NEED cam on I spontaneously started dancing, like involuntarily, like the song just took control of my body. It was awesome!

My favorite song so far is "Need"

Just cannot get enough of it atm.

Its just got this 80's drum beat that kicks your ass and the vocals are awesome.

Maybe its just me, you can hear her voice being difficult, but it just sounds awesome regardless.

Yessss I love the strange inflections in her voice when she sings the parts before the chorus. I haven't heard her do anything like that before.

Agreed. You can literally feel her expression in that song. It makes you dance and become introspective and emotional at the same time. The PERFECT combination!
