Too much singing? It's called "the Genetic Opera" for a reason. Opera = all singing - though technically it's an operetta, considering it has one or two spoken lines.
I don't think it to be overrated, as, like Rocky Horror, it's enjoyed by a small, specific audience.
The reason for the plotholes. Lionsgate only allowed Darren Lynn Bousman and Terrance Zdunich, the directors/writers, to only do so much. They know about its plotholes but they no longer have rights to Repo!, so they unfortunately can't fix it. Also, fun fact - it started off as a stageplay, and TZ made a short film of it.
They wanted to make a sequel and/or prequel to fill in the plotholes, but again since they don't have the rights anymore, they can't.

I'm not talking about small plotholes that are easily overlooked, I'm talking about huge, gaping plotholes that make the storyline unrealistic and ridiculous. Yeah, you could argue "well, fantasy" but it's a dystopian fiction set in "future reality." As in, the real world.

What I'm saying though is the songs have to carry the story and they just weren't memorable or interesting enough. Concentrating on fewer songs that were better and making it the Genetic musical could have made the whole thing more enjoyable. People who haven't seen Rocky horror will probably know the time warp or even 2 or 3 songs from Grease because they are catchy songs that work outside the context of their films, something Repo doesn't seem to have

I think they were also being a bit mean-spirited to Paris Hilton by type-casting her as Amber, although she did do a rather good job.

Meet the Robinsons is suuuuuper underrated.

It's easily one of my favorite Disney movies. So damn good! I think the time they made it in is what killed it. Disney was failing, so they couldn't give it the full attention it needed and people probably didn't expect much out of it and ignored it. But even then, I still love the hell out of it. It's hilarious but heartfelt and just seems so genuine with the message it's trying to give. And I love the characters! Especially the Robinsons themselves. They needed way more screentime!

^ Agreed! That film is underrated. I don't think it's as good as you give it credit for, but it definitely is one of the good classics.

The Black Cauldron
Even most 90s kids don't know about it. It's amazing!

^Maybe because it came in 85 :P I watched it as a kid though. My cousin had it. He hated it, but I thought it was good.

^^ Eilonwy is one of the most forgotten and overlooked princesses, too, for that reason. I've seen more include Kida than I've seen include her.

Also it still kills me that they turned away some of Tim Burton's concept art for being too scary. For that movie, of all things!

Agreed!! He should try for it again.

Well I've heard he might be directing the Dumbo Live Action remake, so that might work better than the Black Cauldron :P

I saw The Beguiled a while ago and HOLY SHIT.

No one (at least that I talk to) seems to even know it exists and it's CRIMINAL. That movie was brilliant. I haven't seen something so intense for a long time. My heart was pounding through most of it. I know it's a remake, though I haven't seen the original, but either way it's fucking amazing.

Disney's animated film, The Sword in the Stone, is very very much underrated. I don't even hear 90's kids talking about it (or technically millennials in general; I'm pretty sure it's a pre-90's movie).
They're doing a live-action remake of it, so I'm hoping it sheds light on this seemingly forgotten yet fantastic movie.
