Back in late 2004/early 2005, TBM did a show with Johnny Hollow in London. I got into Johnny Hollow because I saw them open at a Jakalope concert and was thrilled at the thought of seeing them live again. Alas, I couldn't go to the concert, but my interest was piqued in TBM and I checked them out.

On the old Nothing and Nowhere site I listened to the samples and immediately fell in love with Happy Birthday. I bought the original reissue of Nothing and Nowhere and the Violet LP from HMV a little while later (this was before the Metropolis version of Violet, so I have no clue how HMV got them in stock) and have kept up since.

Man, the board's really taken an undertaking in members. It's like a completely new group of people.

Early fall 2006, I was plugging through the Pandora / Music Genome Project website, and TBM came up as something I might like. Like turned out to be an understatement.

and I wish I could have seen that concert with Johnny Hollow!

Default tbm!

I heard them a reallllly long time ago on someone's myspace, and then I went to TBM's myspace. I then downloaded some tunes, and found out one of my friends had their cd. She let me copy it, and it was on repeat for 6 months, no joke.

November 2002, a good friend of mine (Jim from the band Otto's Daughter) recommended them to me cuz he thought they were my style. Damn did he hit the nail on the head with that one. Fave band ever since! (Besides OD, of course...)
