Overrated movie: Pulp Fiction
I like it, just not as much as most people seem to like it. Tarantino movies are hit or miss for me.

Tarantino movies are a hit-or-miss for anyone, I think. I couldn't get in to Pulp Fiction, but I LOVE Four Rooms.
I do agree, though, there seems to be an unnecessary hype over Pulp Fiction.

^I enjoyed his Grindhouse movies, but Django Unchained, Jackie Brown and The Hateful Eight just didn't connect. I'm not one for ultraviolent gun action. A few movies I like have gun violence, just not to the extent that Tarantino's movies are.

MEAN GIRLS. Oh my god that movie is so bloody overrated!! It's not even that good!! Why has it suddenly become ingrained in pop culture?! I watched it again a couple months ago after not seeing it for years (the second time I've watched it) and I was like, "What's the hype over this?" It's literally one of the most overrated movies ever. I mean it's good but not as good as people are making it out to be.

The hype is that it's a commentary about social hierarchy in high schools and how difficult it is for outsiders to connect with people. It was loosely based on a book about the topic of cliques and social acceptance. A lot of people can fit in with the outcasts in the movie, and the dialogue is well done.
Everyone had their Regina George, their Gretchen Weiners and their Janice Ians in school and the movie played them out perfectly.

Maybe. I didn't go to your typical high school, so there weren't any "cliques"...or at least, not as emphasized as in most high schools. There were no jocks because we didn't have sports teams, or preps because...well, there were no jocks to spawn them; plus everyone was friends with each other in some way or other. It was mostly just a bunch of outcasts (my mom called the school "the island of misfit toys") who had lesser versions of typical high school cliques. There were definitely the "geeks" and the stoners, and the ravers--those that always talked about raves and went to them every weekend and whose arms were covered in candies.
But anyway, because of that, I didn't get the high school experience that's portrayed in movies, such as Mean Girls. So that may be why I don't understand its hype.

I actually really like the first Silent Hill movie.

I don't know if it was panned overall or just among the fan base for the games, but I see nothing but negativity for it outside of some of my own friends and myself. Yes, it was terribly inaccurate and Pyramid Head had no rightful place being there, but the atmosphere was amazing imo! They definitely kept that creepy feel of constant unease. Also Alice Krige nailed it as Christabella. X3

The second one. Meh. It was alright for what it is, but terrible as a horror movie, and it was one giant embarrassment for Pyramid Head imo. Also the romance seemed forced and made no sense. I do seem to like it more than most people, but I can't defend it near as much as the first one.

The Popeye movie they made with Robin Williams and Shelley Duvall.

I really don't understand why it flopped so bad. It's so great! The musical part is done well and the songs are catchy as fuck. The actors portrayed the characters perfectly, including moving really similarly to the old cartoons. Like it legitimately feels like a live action version of the cartoon. It's cheesy as fuck, but so are the cartoons.

^ I don't remember much more than liking it and his photo of him and his dad haha.
The village they built for the film is apparently still there in Portugal... little fun fact for you all

Repo: The Genetic Opera is overrated.

When I really watch it, it's got plot holes and such a bad understanding of human anatomy and medicine that it's just... bad. Granted, I like it. It has an interesting premise and great musical numbers, yet it was poorly researched.

^ I mainly thought there was too much singing, could have concentrated on fewer songs and made them as good as they could

^ Yeah. The storyline was a bit disjointed because they cut a lot out.
