How and when did you first hear of The Birthday Massacre?

I heard of them on the band Aurasis' website, in 2003. I don't know how many people remember them or have even heard of them. Besides that, I instantly fell in love with the music and the website.

Mainly through different forums then in 04 found them on Myspace and continued to fall in love with them.

I first heard the Birthday Massacre in 2005. I was introduced to it by the Pandora music radio site (http://www.pandora.com), which is sadly no longer accessible from the UK.

my best friend bought a magazine once, i think it was the "sonic seducer" and she gave me some pages about evanescence which were in it. on the back of one page was a tiny interview with chibi. the name "chibi" kinda fascinated me, because it sounded so cute. so i checked the nothing and nowhere website and was absolutely amazed by the awesome design. the first song i listened to was play dead, i loved it from the first minute and i still do. so it didn't take a long time and i got a serious tbm-addiction. but it's an addiction i like to live with

I heard of them through the Orgy Message Boards about 4 years ago. People were discussing their favorite bands, and TBM kept popping up, so I had to check them out. A decision I definitely do no regret.

They have a song and a video on the Metropolis 2005 dvd/cd compilation. I finally got around to paying attention to that fact a couple months ago. And then I wondered why it took me so long to notice,and I haven't stopped playing their music since!!!

Back in 2004, I was on another message board and someone had a TBM banner.
The banner had lyrics on it and I loved it, so I decided to listen to the song.
The first song I heard was Video Kid.

The first time I heard TBM was at the pre-release of Violet. My father received the promo CD (because he have the big webzine Antithetik) and he said me: "You will like it! It's really for you!"

i read about them in several gothic magazines and became curious... i started to listen to some songs on youtube, but i was really infected when i heard "happy birthday" on a zillo-sampler. this all happened 2006, because before i didn´t have a computer.

I was handed the demo copy as I bought some CD's at Bull Moose some years ago.

I waited years before I could see them in concert. It was worth the wait.

i stumbled on their website YEARS back, thinking it was a game. partially because of the graphics, and partially because the stumble happened while i was looking up screenshots for american mcgee's alice.

i found them again on last.fm about three weeks ago, listened to a couple of songs. then they quickly made their way into my cd collection. i think it was a recommendation i found via the switchblade symphony page.
