Default How and when did you first hear of The Birthday Massacre?

I remember visiting some random person's MySpace and hearing this incredibly beautiful music playing in the background. I just had to know who the artist was and hear more of their music. I could not tell much from looking at the music playlist so I sent him a message. He responded enthusiastically, telling me about The Birthday Massacre and how I could hear more of their music and find out more about them . The song I first heard is the instrumental that currently plays in the background at Nothing and Nowhere. This was in January 2007 and I have been a fan ever since.

October 2002

I had recently joined the Deadsy message board. In the "What are you listening to" thread several people were listing TBM. I was intrigued by the band's name and found out that I could hear their entire EP for free on MP3.com. So, I went to check it out and fell in love instantly.

I too found them on the Deadsy board. It was early summer of 2002, found a link to them and listened to 'Over' and pretty much fell in love with it

I don't quite remember what year it was, but it was probably around 2001 or 2002 and my boyfriend was harping on about some band named Imagica that he thought I'd like, so one day he sat me down with his mp3 player and I was hooked. good times

2004, randomly clicked on someone's sig on another forum to nan.com. I thought the website looked really awesome and I had the background music playing for hours.

I'm a big fan of theSTART, who toured with them last summer. I saw them two nights in a row (in Miami and St.Petersburg) and fell in love with them. I'm a sucker for bands who put on great live shows.

Ach, 'Twas some goth forum that had a link to the TBM-website... the year was 2005.

Back then one could load "Nothing and Nowhere"-demo free from Violetprison (lol, I still have the MP3s)... Long story short: I got hooked on the N&N-demo, and the rest is history...

I first heard of them when I was on another band's website, called Asrai. They played a show or two with them in Mexico back on my birthday in early 2006 and I decided to give a listen and I fell in love with TBM.

I heard of TBM the first time in summer 2006 when they were 6 months in Germany.Didn't hear any music of them but they were pretty popular in here.
Then I saw some months later the ''Blue'' clip and it totally pleased me.It was such an awesome vid!
I bought ''Violet'' but didn't like it that much firstly. Then they key of loving TBM endlessly was when I heard ''The dream'' in the sub Totally blew me away, this wonderful song!
And after that...I fell totally in love with them!!!

my best friend bought a magazine once, i think it was the "sonic seducer" and she gave me some pages about evanescence which were in it. on the back of one page was a tiny interview with chibi. the name "chibi" kinda fascinated me, because it sounded so cute. so i checked the nothing and nowhere website and was absolutely amazed by the awesome design. the first song i listened to was play dead, i loved it from the first minute and i still do. so it didn't take a long time and i got a serious tbm-addiction. but it's an addiction i like to live with

I heard of them through the Orgy Message Boards about 4 years ago. People were discussing their favorite bands, and TBM kept popping up, so I had to check them out. A decision I definitely do no regret.
