I recommend the band Rasputina. If you're into grungy, cowpunk music(as the band calls it), this band is for you.

The lead singer, Melora, has a very unique voice, that is both annoying and refreshing. The band uses cellos and drums for their music, and they can rock just as hard as a guitar.

Their music provides a wide variety, from slow folk to grungy steampunk. Here's some of their songs:

Momma Was An Opium Smoker

Holocaust of Giants

In Old Yellowcake

Draconian Crackdown

Anamanaguchi: chip-tune with guitars and drums. Very addicting and a real adrenaline pumper.

And So I Watch You From Afar: Post-rock that turns up the amps and really rocks.

Wye Oak - Indie/alternative rock with a singer reminiscent of Florance and the Machine, but more subdued. Try Civilian; love that song.

I find myself humming along to that one song (Dancing Crazy?) whenever I hear it. It's not like it's a work of art but it's quite catchy!

Anathema. About the third time i've recommended them but I love them. Not so much with the original singer but since then they changed their sound and improved so much.

They constantly change their sound but I do like the electronic stuff Samael do, haven't heard much of their heavier stuff yet.
