I can't make a "top ten" list in order because it changes often. But the bands I still can't get enough of recently are...

KATATONIA
TOOL
WITHIN TEMPTATION
THE PANIC DIVISION
FLAW
EVERGREY
THIS MISERY GARDEN
STARSET
THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE
DEAD LETTER CIRCUS

^ I think bod likes Katatonia...but I might be mistaken.

I've been really into Washed Out lately.

I saw The Naked and Famous recently and they were amaaaazing live.

Also, been listening to Passion Pit, Daft Punk, and William Fitzsimmons.

And music from LotR, but no one cares about that. :D

Yea, I am glad to see that there are at least a few other Katatonia fans on this forum. They are still my overall #1 favorite band and I can not wait for their new album next year.

This is coming from off the top of my head (not actually going through iTunes). I'm gonna shake things up by puting the year I discovered them and what song I first heard that got me into them. And also how I discovered them =^.^=

2:54 (2013, "Easy Undercover")
-Witches Of East End Soundtrack.

Android Lust (2010, "Stained")
-Song played during an ep of "NCIS" in Abby's lab.

Ashton Nyte (2012, "Murder Me")
-I found out it was his side project of The Awakening.

Autumn's Grey Solace (2013, "Still" and on my own, "Resonant Dusk" drew me in further into the forest)

The Awakening (2012, "Fault")
-Youtube preview photo intrigued me.

Ayria (2010, "My Revenge On The World")
-Youtube suggestion

The Azoic (2007, "Conflict" or "Illuminate")
-Youtube suggestion.

Bitch Brigade (2006, "Bubblegum Cyber")
-Song heard at Claire's (I think?)

Bella Lune (2011, "Neverwhere")
-Youtube suggestion.

Beseech (2008, "Everytime I Die")
-The band name on Darklyrics intrigued me.

The Bellwether Syndicate (2013, "The Night Watch")
-Side project of William Faith of Faith And The Muse.

The Birthday Massacre (2007, "Looking Glass" but the video for "Blue" lured me further into their music)
-I was on a download site and I saw the title for "Looking Glass" and I thought it was related to the whole Alice In Wonderland thing. Got a little turned off by the vocals so I deleted it but days later, I couldn't get the lyrics out of my head so I looked them up on Youtube and saw that they did a video for "Blue" and fell in love with the song and video. Funny thing is, I didn't know they had a video for "Looking Glass" until early 2013

BlutEngel (2005, "Vampire Romance")
-The title caught my eye while looking for "Goth" music.

Breaking Benjamin (2006, "The Diary Of Jane")
-I'm not sure if I heard this during a TV show or commercial.

Collide (2010, "Razor Sharp")
-Youtube suggestion.

Cylab (2012, "Dented Halos")
-Youtube suggestion.

Dark Sanctuary (2006, "Les Mémoires Blessées")
-I was on Youtube looking for "dark piano music". Plus, Victoria Frances. Enough said.

Darklily (2006, "Transverse")
-Vampirefreaks.

The Divine Madness (2006, "If Tomorrow Comes")
-Vampirefreaks.

Diorama (2006, "Prozac Junkies")
-A Goth girl in therapy group introduced me to the song. I'm not gonna say anything further because it's personal and she swore me to secrecy. We lost touch and I don't remember her last name so I can't contact her or anything. So, I have to respect her, either way

The Dresden Dolls (2007, "Girl Anachronism")
-Last.fm's related music to Emilie Autumn.

Digital Daggers (2013, "Sparks" and "Still Here")
-Heard it on "Witches Of East End" but that's all I ever knew? LOL. I read somewhere that there were a dubstep remix and I guess it scared me off? Buuuut! A dear friend of mine properly introduced me to the rest of their albums and singles. And now, I can not see myself not falling asleep or washing the dishes or cleaning to their music! I have this strong craving to listen to everything made by them! LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Feel like shit for judging them based on a fucking remix x.x But whatever. It's not too late! :3).

Diva Destruction (2005, "Valley Of The Scars")
- Goth blog

Ego Likeness (2013, "Aviary")

Emilie Autumn (2006, "Misery Loves Company" or "Opheliac")
-Someone on the old Evthreads invited me to listen to her. Plus, the thread was ALWAYS active and it was really annoying the fuck out of me.

Emily Wells (2014, "Mamma's Gonna Give You Love")
-My brother shared that with me at Red Lobsters on Mother's Day. Plus, bonus points (or maybe not O.O) that they used that song during a promo for Season 3 of "Bates Motel".

Evanescence (2003, "Bring Me To Life")
-Heard it on the KROQ radio station.

Faith And The Muse (2010, "Battle Hymn")
-Gothic Charm School blog review.

Fiona Apple (2004, "Across The Universe")
-Pleasantville movie soundtrack.

Flyleaf (2005, "I'm So Sick", "Fully Alive" or "All Around Me")
-Someone from an old Evanescence forum introduced me to them.

Free Dominguez (2014, "Wolf")
-Side project of the lead singer of Kidneythieves.

Garbage (1996, "#1 Crush) -OR- (1998, "Heaven Is Wide")
-Romeo and Juliet soundtrack
-Song played during the car game race of"Gran Tourismo"

The Gathering (2006, "Alone")
-Happy accident! I was on a site and I was gonna listen to Leaves' Eyes "Into Your Light" but they played "Alone" by The Gathering instead.

Goldfrapp (2012, "Lovely Head")
-Song played from the "My Summer Of Love" movie.

Great Northern (2016, "Numbers")
-Dear friend got me into them.

H.I.M (2008, "Right Here In My Arms")
-Album cover caught my eye while looking for the soundtrack to "Queen Of The Damned". Happy accident?

Hungry Lucy (2005, "Bound In Blood-Waltz Lullaby-")
-Song title caught my eye.

I:Scintilla (2012, "Prey On You-Cylab Mix-")
-Youtube because I watched Cylab's "Dented Halo" video.

Inkubus Sukkubus (2005, "Midnight Queen")
-Goth blog

Jen Foster (2010, "I Didn't Just Kiss Her")
-Youtube suggestion because my sister had me listen to Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" song. Didn't like it but loved Jen's version.

Jill Tracy (2008, "In Between Shades")
-Last.fm's related music to Emilie Autumn.

Kai Altair (2012, "Marilyn")
-I'll just break it down:

Emilie Autumn --->> Veronica Varlow --->> Featured in a video as a Faerie Queen. That's all that really needs to be said

Katy Rose (2003, "Lemon")
-From the movie "Thirteen".

Kidneythieves (1998, "Crazy")
-Song played during the movie "Bride Of ______".

Kimberly Freeman (2013, "Fame and Loathing")
-Side project of OED.

Kittie (2004, "Paperdoll")
-My brother's ex GF saw me flipping through a Revolver magazine and she flipped when she saw a photo of the band and I got curious and she introduced me to the song.

Lacuna Coil (2005, "Un Fantasma Tra Noi" and "Falling")
-Found them on lastfm's related artists to Within Temptation.

Lahannya (2015, "Scavenger")
-Spotify.

L'Ame Immortelle (2005, "Tears In The Rain")
-Band name intrigued me.

Lesbian Bed Death (2006, "Vampire Lover")
-Vampirefreaks.

Lila Rose (2015, "Heart Machine")
-Autostraddle.

Melissa Ferrick (2011, "Drive")

Miss FD (2011, "Love Magick")
-Saw an ad for the album "Love Never Dies" when I bought my first Gothic Beauty magazine.

Monica Richards (2010, "Death Is The Ultimate Woman")
-Side project of lead singer of Faith and the muse.

Mortal Love (2005, "Falling For You")
-Youtube suggestion.

Nicki Jaine (2015, "The Gravedigger")
-Saw a video on youtube where she played with the ever so lovely, Ms. Jill Tracy.

No Doubt (1997, "Just A Girl")
-First song played during a scene in Romi and Michelle's High School Reunion.

Otep (2005, "Ghostflowers")
-The music video intrigued me.

Persephone (2005, "Drowning Theme")
-Side project of lead singer from L'Ame Immortelle. I found them when my brother downloaded it for me. Apparently, it came with the rar folder of Immortelle's music.

Portishead (1999, "Scorn")
-Song played during a scene that I fucking hate in "The Craft". But I love the song. And if I didn't hear it on The Craft, I'm sure I'd still love it if I heard the song "Roads" in an episode of The L Word x3

The Postal Service (2003, "Such Great Heights")
-Commercial.

Priscilla Hernandez (2006, "Away")
-I was looking for something to do with faeries and I somehow came across this.

Queens Of The Stone Age (2003, "No One Knows")
-My brother and I heard it played during a trailer of a movie.

Reliquary (2007, "Trinity")
-Lastfm's related artist to Diva Destruction.

Revenant Cult (2013, "Spectral Heresy")
-Youtube suggestion.

Rotersand (2009, "Gothic Paradise")
-Youtube suggestion.

Sapphic Musk (2015, "Kittenz")
-Autostraddle

The Secret Meeting (2012, "Am I Here?")
-Heard about them on Collide's website.

Siouxsie & The Banshees (1999, "Sick Child")
-The Craft. But again, I'm sure I'd love them anyway with the song "Christine" if I heard it on an episode of The L Word.

The Shroud (2009, "Ophelia")
-Youtube suggestion.

The Silk Demise (2015, "Midnight Eyes")
-Spotify

SPC ECO (2012, "For All Time")
-I was browsing through Collide's merch store and came across this album. Instantly fell in love and started a thread on here.

Stream Of Passion (2007, "Haunted")
-Youtube suggestion.

Sugarplum Suicide (2015, "Rabbit Hole")
-Saw it (by chance!), was highly intrigued by the title, clicked and was all O.O when I heard the beats and then heard her voice and the lyrics :D Fucking love this band, period! I can't shut up about it. And honestly, I don't want to x3 Thanks Halfdrow!

Switchblade Symphony (2003, "Gutter Glitter")
-Someone made a mix tape of a compilation (Dancing On Your Grave) and this song was on there. This was really the first song that got me into the whole "Goth" thing. I just never fully realized it *blushes* x///x

T.A.T.U (2003, "All The Things She Said")
-Mad TV.

Tegan and Sara (2007, "The Con")
-Some member on the old Evthreads introduced me to them.

Unter Null (2005, "Sick Fuck")
-Happy accident on Google images.

The Webb (2013, "Be My Lover")
-On Youtube looking for Goth music through a Goth channel.

Within Temptation (2004, "Stand My Ground")
-Lastfm's related artist to Evanescence.

Xandria (2008, "Vampire")
-Title caught my attention

Zeraphine (2010, "Tomorrow's Morning")
-Youtube suggestion.

Zombie Girl (2006, "Funeral Pyre")
-Vampirefreaks.

I've had to make two lists!!

CURRENT-ISH
1) The Birthday Massacre - of course! (seen 4 times)
2) Theatres Des Vampires
3) Caliban
4) Pantera (seen once)
5) Deftones
6) Bullet for My Valentine (seen once)
7) Rolo Tomassi (will see in August 2015)

PRE 1990 - yes I'm older than I look!
1) Toyah (seen 5 times)
2) Cocteau Twins
3) Adam Ant (seen once)
4) The Stranglers (seen once)
5) Joan Jett
6) Kate Bush (seen once)
7) Siouxsie & the Banshees

Also have to mention I'm a massive fan of Steve Strange (Visage) not listed above because they had three albums in the 1980s and one in 2013 which was their best material ever! Sadly Steve died in Feb this year. Loved that guy so much I went to his funeral. Very sad

I love a lot of other bands so this is really just a snippet of what I listen to!

Liv Kristine of Leaves Eyes' solo work I can't believe I never heard of her albums before. And now that I have, I'm seriously in love (except the songs where a guy is featured but whatever)!

Also, she's beautiful.

Indeed you are, I like the Welsh Britpop band Catatonia, not the metal band Katatonia. Though I do love me some heavy metal
