Oh you're right For some reason I thought it was like a month early but I just checked and it was only about 4 days early.

Thanks for keeping me grounded; dashing my hopes and dreams. I was looking forward to hearing most of the album with fresh ears, before previews came out - I was hoping they wouldn't release another song because I have so little self-control I won't be able to resist listening!

I hope Endless is as upbeat as people are saying because One is making me depressed! The album just seems so sad so far. It is beautiful though.

YO I am editing my comment now I've had a chance to listen to it a few times.

Visually I love the way it continues on from Superstition with visual pictures of walking through water. I get the impression this song is about aging, with the lyrics 'youth and decay', 'blue turns to grey' perhaps being references to aging, and lyrics like 'Some say it doesn't matter' and 'climbing Jacob's ladder (which led to heaven)' also referencing the journey of life.

The chorus maybe ties in with the album's relationship theme, mourning the prospect of going through life, or 'dying slowly', alone, as someone without a partner.

Thematically it reminded me a lot of We Are The Fallen's 'I Am Only One'. I definitely think this album will resonate with people.

Oh and the verses remind me of Sideways.

^ I agree with the aging theme! Also ties in with some lyrics from Counterpane; "strange changes come with age" "when we were innocent"

I do wonder if this album will relate to Superstition and even Hide and Seek. I've always believed Hide And Seek's main theme is death / murder while Superstition's is about the afterlife / being on "the other side" / or even the "in between" some place between this world and the next or heaven and hell - a continuation. A long time ago I speculated that maybe this album would be about a "rebirth" (continuing the themes of the 2 previous albums) but don't think so with the songs released so far.
All of them also seem to focus on relationships too (which I love a lot!)

Something I've noticed is how with TBM's earlier albums they mention the number 2 a lot. "two of them are sisters" "cutting every face in two" "two hearts" And then Superstition, 3. "the fates will divide in three" "three poison hearts" "trinity" And now with this album there is a song called "one" Not sure if it means anything and why it's 2, 3, 1 - just wanted to mention it xD

I've heard this album is more "mature" and now that I think about it, that's pretty interesting since TBM's older albums seem to focus on childhood and growing up themes (even with the children on the album covers)

Just wanted to share some of my thoughts. Maybe they sound crazy to other people I just find TBM and their music so fascinating - it's fun digging deep into meanings and such :D

Agree! Love hearing your thoughts on the themes of the new songs

I was also thinking, 'One' may have been intended to act as the first and last song in the album - I've heard several comments that 'Endless' was meant to link back to the beginning of the album. 'One' has a very final sound to it, and both lyrically and musically I could imagine it as an album closer. In promotional work for this album they've used the ouroboros symbol of a snake swallowing it's tail, representing endlessness.

For those reasons, I feel like 'One' was intended to be the 'head' of the snake - the point where the album links back around and could be both the ending and the beginning. Kind of like a Memento vibe, knowing the ending from the beginning.

I dunno. I'm just thinking out loud.

EDIT: Just saw someone on the pledge had the same idea, lol

Thank you! I love hearing your thoughts too - it's so nice having someone on here who dives deep into TBM's songs and their meanings and such :D

Oh wow, I didn't even think of that!! So smart Totally makes sense with how One sounds, the ouroboros symbol on the cover and how the last song is called Endless too. Really love that idea! Now I'm super curious as to how Endless sounds

it does seem more mature now because the images are older ppl on the cover so i think the theme of youth wont be covered in this album. it feels dark. ppl growing up into the next stage of life after childhood and becoming adult leading into personal experiences and trying to overcome them.

Didn't notice the whole 'older people on the cover' thing. Fits into this album being a 'Walking With Strangers Part 2'.

Yes exactly!! I noticed that right away too - no children anymore. I really like this transition and mature direction that they are going into. Makes me even more curious and excited to hear this album. Wonder if they will continue this after Under Your Spell too :D

That's what I'm wondering. I'm also wondering if they'll release an EP with some songs that didn't make it onto Under Your Spell sometime afterward? Wouldn't be surprised if not though, given the Walking With Strangers flash campaign that's set to happen later this year.

Likely going to the Chicago show, but...how can I sing along with the new songs when the album isn't released yet? T_T

What's this Walking With Strangers flash campaign later this year all about?! First time hearing about it.

I love "One" so much -- imagine sitting in a dark studio with the band and a bunch of other crazed TBM fans, and this is the first song that you hear from the new album. It was surreal and amazing, and I'm so glad to hear it again! I'm glad it's only a few weeks away until release. It's killing me!

Yes, the album definitely has a more mature, sweet-sadness to it than previous works. "Melancholy" is how I'd describe Chibi's vocals for a good part of the album, at least from what I can remember 2 months later. And on at least one song, even though the instruments are charging in all upbeat, Chibi's voice is kind of down.

The ouroboros thing you guys came up with is great! I'd agree. It does seem very deliberate. I cannot recall any words from "Endless" though, just that the song was more upbeat than the song preceding it ("The Lowest Low").

Ouroboros always makes me think about the show Red Dwarf. "Our Rob or Ross..."
