Talking Chibi's book support

Admittedly, I haven't been on this group much at all.

I'm sure everyone is well aware that Chibi has a book coming out under her real name in April, titled "Boring Girls".

I have set up a page, with her permission and blessing, to help promote the book and also to have a hub where people can go to discuss it.

Chibi and I have spoken a bit on things we can do with the page. While I want to be clear that it is just me running it, and it is in no way an official site, every decision that I make regarding it is run through her first.

There may even be some teasers coming up soon

Regardless, I (and Chibi, I'm sure) would appreciate if people would check out the page and give it a like if you want. Hope to see you on the page!

She told me about the illustrated book that she is currently working on. Will you be able to update any new info on this as well?

At the moment, I haven't spoken with her much about it. All of her energy has gone into Superstition, and Boring Girls.

Next time I speak with her, I'll inquire. As soon as I have info, I'll keep everyone as up to speed as I am permitted and able to, via the Boring Girls page linked

I don't read books, but I will probably buy Her one. If I don't read it at least I supported Her cause.

I deleted my old facebook account, but another has resurfaced to like Her book's page.

Me neither!

I received my copy last week but will be a while before I get to read it though as I'm still halfway through reading Steve Strange's bio and I've been on it for 3 months!

A question is though, if Chibi was to sign it, who would she sign it as?!?

She signed my two copies with her real name

...whereas "real" name sounds kinda mean. Birthname? Government name? You know what I mean

I know this is a fictional book but do we know if it has any ties or actual real life personal experiences portrayed by her?

Anyways would love to read it and probably will. Anything with metal music I'm sure I'll like.

Experiences--yes. She's stated in some interviews that parts of the book are based off of experiences she's had on tour.

I finished the book a few weeks ago. It was pretty good I enjoy her writing style.

I have read it two times so far. It is totally awesome, my personal book of the year!

There is a lot of fiction there like e.g.: Chibi has never killed anyone, but a lot of real life too. Actually everything about being in a struggling band that rises to success feels so real that it can be only based on actual events. Chibi uses not only Rachels voice to tell you how she feels about that and what it's _really_ like.

I'd say there is a lot of her in Rachel (the brighter, "normal" aspects of her personality), wheras the darker, messed up parts feel like fantasy of overvoming injustice. I can relate to that and I can relate to Rachel because the duality of being a killer and a talented human being full of flaws and insecurities make her as real as a fictional character can be.

Anyways... If you read Boring Girls and know how to read between the lines, this is the closest you'll ever get to know what's inside of Chibis mind.

So, buy it now!!!!!!

I really enjoyed it but I was bummed that it felt like a short story. I wanted to read about more concerts and events and i kinda wanted her to just find love instead of killing people lol but thats not what the book was about i just felt bad at the end that rachel didnt get the life she wanted. i felt sympathy..but then again maybe rachel was satisified because she simply became a psycopath and psychopaths really just dont want anything i assume. but before she became a killer i enjoyed her as a person just being a vocalist and her style resembling chibis image. If only i met a girl like that in highschool and grew and matured with her.
