Ha, I always kick myself too when I discover a band long after they've been around. I've missed out on kick ass music for all these years! But I am glad I discovered TBM - they're amazing.

I'm pretty sure it was thanks to the Deadsy messageboard that I got into TBM (then Imagica).
Found a LOT of great bands through that forum, but TBM is the one that has been the most successful so far.

I was browsing DeviantART for icons, and I found a set of TBM icons. It was love at first sight. I absolutly loved the imagery.

Then, I went to nothingandnowhere.com and I was blown away.
The rest is just history.

Well, I happened to discover The Birthday Massacre through a long, weird process.

The date was December 31st, 2005.

It was around 11:00 PM.

I happened to be on Newgrounds, because I was bored.

(Yeah, it was New Year's Eve and I was bored! Haha.)

I was watching "Serious Shorts" and happened to find this one flash, called ".:The Dream:.".

I'm sure everyone can guess what song was in it. :D

I fell for the song immediately.

("The Dream" is the very first TBM song that I heard and it's always been my favorite. :D )

So when the flash concluded, I looked at the music credits.

I thought to myself "The Birthday Massacre... That's an awesome band name."

So, I did my research and ended up at nothingandnowhere.com--where I spent hours browsing while enjoying "The Night Loop".

To this day, that is still the best flash I have EVER seen.

What a beautiful form of art. ^^

So that about sums it up for me.

If anyone's interested, here's the flash:

Enjoy! =]

I first heard of them when I was on another band's website, called Asrai. They played a show or two with them in Mexico back on my birthday in early 2006 and I decided to give a listen and I fell in love with TBM.

I heard of TBM the first time in summer 2006 when they were 6 months in Germany.Didn't hear any music of them but they were pretty popular in here.
Then I saw some months later the ''Blue'' clip and it totally pleased me.It was such an awesome vid!
I bought ''Violet'' but didn't like it that much firstly. Then they key of loving TBM endlessly was when I heard ''The dream'' in the sub Totally blew me away, this wonderful song!
And after that...I fell totally in love with them!!!

my story is not really interesting...

it was 2006..November. i was with a friend, and he told me "hay..i'm sure you'll like this band...they are The Birthday Massacre". And that's all. He put TBM music on the computer, and i loved it. I went to my house and get the albums...(i could't find them here in my country...)..it was love at first sight..!(well..not really "sight"...!!!)

(i have to aplogize for my bad english first)

I heard from this great canadians the first time in winter 2006...on a DVD.
They were performing "blue" live on the M'era Luna Festival in Germany...i remind...me and xrayqueen often watched it together...we were soo mad (and i think we still are)
once we watched it 6 times consecutively and just looked at one person closely while they played...and when the clip was over we started it again and lokked at the other bandmamber closely...sooo mad...
