i love reading everyone's opinions about this new record. while it may not be as creepy/dark as previous ones, i love it, i eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (along with all their other songs). and it's still way more original, worthy, and brilliant than most other junk out there!

Well said. I completely agree. P&N is amazing!

At first, I did not like the sound of it.

Now, I can't stop repeating the album

When I start listening to it I can't stop

It's really good. Maybe not as creepy/mystical sounding (if that makes sense) than the older ones but some songs, like Midnight, are just so good!

Midnight is probably my favorite track from the album as well.

Following closely behind:
Pins and Needles
Two Hearts
Control
Sleepwalking

I think every track on this album is good, though.

I was one of those who loved every song on P&N from the start, save fro Two Hearts. It was the same as Movie for me, I liked it enough - I just didn't like it that much.

Two Hearts became one of my favorite songs from P&N because Abby keeps making me put it on repeat, lol. Well, actually - the whole album. I really do love every song on there, and that's rare.

Apropos of nothing, Porky went out with his friends last week and I saw some mass Twitter/Facebook updates. (Porky = Dave).

"Dave: She's into Birthday Massacre"
"Steve: What's that, a dance?"

Steve is my buddy, we discuss music and we share music, usually the indie rock/rockabilly shit (Queens of the Stone Age @ House of Blues on March 30 GOGOGIGA). I don't know why I never discussed TBM with him, but I found it hilarious (And apparently so did Dave and 3 more of their mutual friends) that he thought it was a dance.

Also, slightly weirded out that they talk about me when I'm not there. At least it's not bad.

What the hell kind of dance would that be?

One that wouldn't end well.

I cannot get into Sideways at all. Midnight isn't as bad for me, but I never listen to it either.

I can't say that I hated the sound of it at first but I was like "Hmmm" then it was on repeat from then on.

The ONLY thing I don't like on this record is the "How can you criticize when you're not here to compromise" part.
It's not that it's bad, it just kinda...sticks out like a sore thumb?...when listening to the album from start to finish.

Not as perfect as Violet and WWS, but that was to be expected. You can only go so far...

Agreed. That's what really irks me about this song.

Did I say I love this record yet? If I didn't, it should've been implied

^ I kind of liked that part of the song....I just like the song in general. I think it's lovely and sad.
