The "Last Chance" FreeFest Ticket Thread.
Hi message boardians!
The Birthday Massacre has been given a pile of festival tickets to give to the fans who helped put them in Virgin Mobile's Freefest. The band thanks everyone who voted for us and now... they would love to put these tickets into the hands of some of those hardcore fans ... fans that can actually go see the show! There's only 9 days before the festival, so we have limited options on how we get tickets to the lucky winners. We have a list of everyone who entered an email address while voting. Here's what we're going to do: We are going to be contacting the people on the email list (starting this eve)...Some top voters, some hardcore fans, ...and a few random email addresses just for fun...and offering you each a ticket for yourself and one friend. Most tickets will go out this way. ALSO: we are setting aside a small block of tickets for our fans on VamipreFreaks.com. We are going to run a quick little contest there for a few tickets, and ALSO another small block for some fans on our official online forum !! THAT'S YOU GUYS! SO, in order to come down to the festival and check out The Birthday Massacre live onstage: -You must have voted online in the "Book the Band" contest for TBM (as in: you must be on our email list). -You must be able to come to FREEFEST on August 30th, before gates open and physically pick up your own tickets in person, with proof of ID. (There's no time for us to mail them out, nor arrange any other pickup options...and this also helps prevent people from trying to sell them). There are three ways to score tickets: -Be contacted by us via email and respond by 4pm EST (Toronto time), Tuesday, August 25th. OR -Be a member of Vamprirefreaks.com, check out our blog and try the little contest there for a random chance at tickets. OR -Win The Official Fourm's "last chance" contest. Get nominated by your peers! This is not really a contest, but here's the last chance to get a pair of tickets: Let's just say you haven't recieved an email but you voted tons, you're on our list, you can go, you are on the message board, and other fans would agree that you deserve a pair of tickets. In this thread fans can nominate each other win to a pair of Freefest tickets. After a few days of you guys chatting about it (around August 26th), 5 people who've previouslly slipped through the cracks will be offered a pair of tickets. Sounds a bit weird, sure... but we want to make sure everyone who should be going...is going. Let's be civil about this. It's rather unscientific, I know...but it's what we came up with. I figure we can do it this way...cause the board is a small community of people who get along well and mostly know at least a little about one another. So go ahead in this thread...give us some names (even a short list of 5) of people you think should be going. The band really is appreciative of all your hard work. Our fans alone cast nearly 300,000 votes...from all over the world. If you cannot get to the festival, or we don't hear from you... then we shall give tickets to others on the list. Our fans are a pretty awesome crew, so we don't really need to say this, but: The band would love it if those front rows were filled with fans. If you can't be there, please don't allow the tickets to be wasted. Tell us to give them to someone that can enjoy the show! Thanks again all! We're really looking forward to this! Well... I don't have a list of five people, but I know Sheri wanted to go!

There are so many people I would love to see win tickets to this show. The difficult thing is not knowing who can actually use them. I'll add another another vote for Sheri. In the voting thread, Danielle and Rachel indicated they would be able to attend, so I'll vote for them too.
